I recently saw this article title and it bothered me. If you’re killing yourself trying to “get through” a diet or workout goal, it’s not the right diet or workout goals for your body. And it’s certainly not going to lead to lasting changes in your habits. Instead, you should be learning to enjoy nourishing your body, and feel energized after workouts. Wellness goals should feel good!

I know what it’s like to feel overwhelmed by health trends. Trying everything, not sure why the diet you’re on isn’t working, always feeling bloated, and you’re not dropping pounds while you workout like crazy in HIIT or spin classes. I know the feeling of trying to love your body, but feeling like it’s working against you. Being tired of feeling tired, stressed, and like life is living you.

I’m just over here casually drinking my weight in water 🤷🏻‍♀️💧🍋

Haven’t been the best about drinking enough water lately so I started using this big ass mason jar with some lemons mixed in. I try to fill it at least twice before lunch. Also, we finally invested in a @berkey_filters water filter 👌🏻 so definitely need to make use of that!

Anyway, drinking more water might possibly be one of the simplest forms of self care! Do it! Your body will thank you 😉

☀️ Take a couple deep breaths with essential oils before walking out the door
☀️ Be present as you make yourself breakfast or drink your tea/coffee. Don’t distract your mind or disrupt your energy with emails, facebook, or tv.

Some bedtime rituals:
🌙 No screens 30 minutes before sleep. Read a mellow book instead.
🌙 Diffuse essential oils to support a restful night’s sleep.
🌙 Wash your face and treat yourself with a good nighttime serum.

Rituals don’t have to be elaborate. Just take a simple act, add a little intention and presence, and you’ve got yourself a ritual!
